Since king Solomon, the wisest man to ever grace this planet came to a considerable discovery that every person’s life conforms to match the quality of their imaginations, I became so curious to dig out some hearty knowledge about how one can strategically use their mind to dampen some irrevocable flaws and weaknesses.

Did you know that the solution to every seemingly bewildering situation lies in the very victim’s mind???

Once again let me use a biblical story to support my point.

Luke 19:1-6
1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

In this case we got a man by the name Zacchaeus, who after learning of the renowned JESUS’ transition through Jericho, became greatly zealous to at least have a glimpse of how he was really like.
Nevertheless things did not turn out in his favour since he was exceptionally short in stature and there was a great multitude flocked around JESUS that deprived him of the chance.

Well to that end, he rushed ahead along the road that JESUS was going to pass through, climbed into a tree and waited there.

When JESUS arrived at the place where the tree was situated, he noticed him and ordered that he should to come down as he was determined to spend some ample time with him at his house.

Am quite certain Zacchaeus could somehow hardly believe it as JESUS who apparently had no intentions to stop by had now volunteered to give him his precious time by gracing his house

Now these are some most important things to take note of here:

•When the whole story began, all odds were strongly against Zacchaeus’ quest to see JESUS yet because of his strategic thinking, not only did he succeed in his endeavour but also had a singular privilege to see him from a different view, beyond the multitude’s reach as he managed to have a look at HIM right from the tree.

•Instead of wasting a whole lot of energy and time in trying to sneak through the crowd and get close to where JESUS was, he simply came up with an intelligent idea that won him a chance to host JESUS, the creator of the universe, an opportunity which I do believe everybody amongst the multitude was earnestly craving for and would greatly appreciate.

•In as much as the environment around JESUS was not tributary to the attainment of his pursuit, a tree ahead along the way was strategically situated in a conducive place for him to position himself in the path of the earnestly sought-after answer to his prayer.

•Using his physical strength to accomplish his mission could have deprived him of a place for his name in the holy bible as he would’ve just gotten to merely see JESUS just like any other person around did without any outstanding recognition from JESUS.

•In as much as Zacchaeus couldn’t do anything to extend his height, he managed to extend his thinking sphere, which he then used to achieve his goal.

•Hosting JESUS at his house gave Zacchaeus room for some quality time of privacy with him.

Well this expository writing is a practical example enough to help someone understand how they can use their mind to come up with innovative strategies that will positively change their life despite the factual odds that may be opposing them.

Guess you were the more blessed!!!

I’m tired of hearing what Frederick Lugard said or thought or did. The man and his girlfriend/wife, Flora Shaw died a long time ago. If Nigeria breaks up, it would be mainly our fault, not theirs.

So what if we started out wrong? Australia began life as a British colony of prisoners and prostitutes. Not every country enjoyed the privilege of being midwived by revolutionary-philosophers like the US.

But as with individuals, the beginning doesn’t have to dictate the trajectory of life or the timing or the end. So it’s time to stop blaming Lugard. The man was a patriotic trader who did the best he could for his empire and his firm, the Royal Niger Company.

And out of the process, Nigeria emerged – clumsily, messily but surely. Here we are, for good or ill, a country.

If we are going to fail, let’s at least have the dignity of failing honestly. It’s time to stop blaming Fred and Flora. They did their manipulative, imperial best for their fatherland. What are we doing for Nigeria?

1 Kings 18:30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.

There was a sore famine in the land of Israel, because an entire nation had forsaken God and started going after Baal under the influence of Jezebel. The funny thing though was there were other 100prophets in the land, but they were hiding from Jezebel. In total, 1kings 18 records a number of 102 prophets in the land, including Obadiah and Elijah yet no revival Was in the land of Israel!

Up until Elijah moved from Hiding by the Word of the Lord and REPAIRED THE ALTAR OF GOD THAT WAS BROKEN DOWN, no revival came in Israel. No true worship came from Israel, double mindedness remained in Israel!

God isn’t looking for prophets in hiding. God is seeking a Prophet that will rise up and repair the broken down pillars of the family, the church, the society. He is not looking for 100 prophets who are afraid of Jezebel, afraid of Ahab! No! God is seeking the one prophet bold enough to stand and say “If God be God serve Him only, but if Baal be god serve him”

God is seeking just one prophet who will give Glory to His name and A true revival will break out from the family,.spill into the church and into the society! Just one prophet who will repair the altar/foundations of the Old and the famine will be broken.

As I continue to expose the hidden treasures about the breadth of mind, i will use the biblical verses below to bring unto light how a person’s level of understanding is affected by their mind’s breadth.

Text: 2Kings 6:8-14 ESV
8. Once when the king of Syria was warring against Israel, he took counsel with his servants, saying, “At such and such a place shall be my camp.”
9. But the man of God sent word to the king of Israel, “Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are going down there.”
10. And the king of Israel sent to the place about which the man of God told him. Thus he used to warn him, so that he saved himself there more than once or twice.
11. And the mind of the king of Syria was greatly troubled because of this thing, and he called his servants and said to them, “Will you not show me who of us is for the king of Israel?”
12. And one of his servants said, “None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”
13. And he said, “Go and see where he is, that I may send and seize him.” It was told him, “Behold, he is in Dothan.”
14. So he sent there horses and chariots and a great army, and they came by night and surrounded the city.

In order to quickly lay bare my point, I will briefly paraphrase the story highlighted by the scriptures.

Here we have a story about a certain Syrian king who on many occasions plotted an ambush against the king of Israel and never succeeded due to the prophet by the name Elisha’s cautionary advice to the Israelite king prior to this assassination attempt.

After realising how he wasn’t achieving his goal, he began assuming that one of his inner circle members was in a way betraying him and when he had gathered and interrogated them, he finally discovered that it was prophet Elisha who was responsible for this setback and sent an army to go and arrest him.

However this was an act of ultimate foolishness in the sense that if Elisha was able to forewarn the Israelite king about the ambush plots against him, how much more could he also foreknow of the king of Syria’s plans to send men to seize him.
What then was the significance of him sending troops to arrest Elisha, when he was aware of his prophetic gifting that enabled him to access other people’s confidential information???

Now foolishness is always a product of the absence of understanding, which is also a result of a limited breadth of one’s mind.

Have you ever been caught up in a situation whereby you realise how much foolish you would have acted and all of a sudden begin to consider how best you could’ve simply done it???

Well this doesn’t always happen as a result of not having knowledge but rather the failure to apply it.
The accumulation of knowledge only become profitably relevant at the point of the application of the same.

Everyone else may merely acquire knowledge but it takes a very few individuals with a greater breadth of mind to practically apply what they know during their involvement in given circumstantial instances.

Well am quite sure that in this second episode i have stressed out the necessity of a greater breadth of mind in one’s quest for reaching the climax of considerable understanding, which is of a great essentiality in this life.

Hope somebody has been blessed!

Who is a spiritual orphan?

A story is frequently told of a baby eagle that fell out of its nest and became separated from its family.

A mother chicken took pity on the apparently orphaned eagle and raised the baby as her own.

As it grew, the young eagle pecked and shuffled along the ground along with its chicken siblings, having never learned that life could be any different.

One day it looked up at an eagle soaring high in the sky and marvelled…

As sons and daughters of a living God we should bear the family likeness and carry out the family business.

But we will never fulfil our potential or live a supernatural Christian life while we are living with an orphan mindset.

Until we do, we will live like the eagle in the story, believing that we are subject to limitations that do not exist.

Have you ever been a regular church goer but you still feel empty? Have you served in ministry but still feel empty and powerless? Have you fasted and prayed but felt like God was very far from you?

Could it be that you’re battling With SPIRITUAL ORPHAN Situation? The ‘orphan spirit’ refers to a spiritual condition in which some Christians profess outwardly to know God as Father, but experience an internal contradiction to that belief. They don’t believe that they are truly a son or a daughter.

I wanna remind you that you’re not an orphan:
‘The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”’ (Rom 8:15)
