After being haunted by uncertainties of life this other day, it then took my time to dig out somethings about fear that may help someone out there be able to understand how on the quest to work out a path to one’s anticipated destiny against life’s proven and immovable odds, it’s impossible to completely do away with fear and therefore requiring one to develop some intellectual skills to handle it.
Now this case study brought me to an enlightening discovery of four kinds of fear that mankind in one way or another will become victim of.
Firstly, there’s a kind of fear I would refer to as instinctive fear….this is a fear that one is just born with and therefore difficult to eradicate from their minds.
And there comes another one which is inherited from received information…fear of what you know.
Fear only finds it’s way to a person’s mind through what they would have heard or seen…eyes and ears are the main gates through which information that will determine one’s attitude, perception and action concerning life in general enters.
This is a kind of fear that requires one to be strictly responsible for what gets into their head as that will later become an installed mentality which governs their attitude and response to life circumstances.
I also discovered another form of fear which i tagged as intelligent fear…this is a fear that the wise occasionally use to handle hostile circumstances that would threaten their opportunities, resources and lives….there are times when cowardice is better than bravery.
After all these, i also learnt of an interesting fear that torments one during their adventure of going for things history never took record of (first time event)…this fear will be ever present as long as one is out of a comfort zone, due to a crucial pursuit for growth. The absence of it is a sign of mediocrity.
Since one can never experience this kind of fear unless they are taking great risks and challenges, it’s very essential to appreciate and embrace it as a sign of a conducive mental environment for a tremendous expansion in life.
Fear comes with the gift of wisdom.
