To all the genuine elders of faith who have labored in the ministry, THANK YOU.
It wasn’t easy but you kept pushing.
You watched small boys you taught in Sunday school become crowd pullers but you remained focused on the truth.
You saw strange prophetic demonstrations but it didn’t move you.
You continued in the path of truth. You watched your finances dwindle but your fire remained rekindled.
This season of apostolic reformation will be void before men and God if we fail to humbly acknowledge the efforts of our genuine fathers.
The truth is that our fathers were genuine. You can say that they were ignorant but they weren’t desperately wicked like my generation. I served under fathers so I am talking from experience. I also did ministry with my own generation and I also have a different experience.
The problem of the church today is not that of ignorance but that of wickedness. Everyone of us is ignorant in a certain area of life. I am good in Technology but I may know absolutely nothing about your profession. You are an expert in your profession but perhaps, an illiterate in my professional domain. That’s how life is. Ignorance is manageable but wickedness is a reproach.
When did Miracle Money become a mark of anointing – my generation.
When did occult-like manipulations become a leadership skill in ministry – my generation.
Rev. Nathan Eze was my Senior Pastor and became a father to me. He literally fed me, clothed me, loved me and believed in me. He knew I wasn’t perfect. But he believed in me still. Tell me if my generation can produce fathers like him. I heard the message of the finished work of Christ first from him several years ago. We became radical New Testament Life Preachers under him. He is a Bible teacher. And I served faithfully but not flawlessly under him.
I know genuine fathers who have not changed over the years… They have continued to stand for the truth. I may not mention names so it won’t look like Charles Awuzie is singing the praise of men. You guys should know me by now – I speak the truth without fear or favor. I don’t need anything from anyone because God has given me enough for me and my humble family. We are satisfied in Christ. So this is not about praise singing. I ought to do what I am doing in this post for the sake of TRUTH.
If you are a believer, please, please, please, and please, GIVE AND GIVE MORE to these genuine fathers. They may not have the time to learn a new skill at their age, yet they need to take care of their responsibilities. Remember them. Don’t be stingy to those who speak the truth.
If you know them, phone them and celebrate them.
As we continue to Speak the truth, let’s also remember to look behind and remember the genuine fathers who taught us genuine Christianity without expecting anything.
