Believers, Beware of the idolatry of Bible Worshipping known as Bibliolatry – “Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God” (Matt 22:29).

“Bibliolatry is the worship of the Bible, as opposed to the God of the Bible. Note, though, that all that is known about the Christian God comes from the Bible. To believe his Word is true, authoritative, and without error is not necessarily Bibliolatry but could easily tend towards it” (See Young’s Bible Dictionary for more details). Honoring biblical authority is different from Bible worshipping. Those who worship the book (Torah laws, Scripture and Epistles) have made a god out of the letter because they can’t see God in the book. They’re quick to quote Paul, Peter or Apollos as if Christ is divided. But we know He is not.

Believers, Beware of the idolatry of Bible Worshipping known as Bibliolatry – Bibliolatry has absolutely no regards for the Holy Spirit and its adherents do not surrender to God or His leading. Bibliolatry and denominationalism are responsible for the major divisions and differences in the body of Christ, known to be powerful only when United. Adherents of Bibliolatry love the bible more for its material benefits to them than for spiritual instructions. Because they’re too impatient to see the God of the Bible, they created their own version of God and imputed it into the Bible. The Bible calls them children of wrath, “For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to set up their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others” (Rom 10:3-4; Eph 5:5-6; 2:3). God honours only those who worship Him, not bible or men worshippers.

Believers, Beware of the idolatry of Bible Worshipping known as Bibliolatry – God saw ahead the antics of Bibliolatry when He said, “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away” (Heb 8:10-13).

Please, don’t worship the letters of the Bible or the book. Also, know that the Holy Spirit is the authentic last authority of God’s word. That’s why it is written, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creäture waite for the manifestation of the sons of God” (Rom 8:16-19).

If there’s no Spirit confirmation in you, it’s not God’s Word, which is Jesus Christ. Have Godly patience to wait and listen carefully to the still and gentle voice of the Holy Spirit. He doesn’t speak hastily, harshly, and compulsively as men do. And He doesn’t lie to you under any disguise. Once there’s any force of intimidation in the voice or in the word, it’s not from God. Jesus Christ is the first and last living Word of God! Believers, Beware of the idolatry of Bible Worshipping known as Bibliolatry
