BREADTH of MIND (Limitations to Effectiveness)

As i was in the quest for refreshing my mind, taking a walk around my neighbourhood this other day, I bumped into the sight of some hen that was encircled by it’s newly hatched chicks which were closely following their mother who in a desperate pursuit for food was concurrently scratching and poking the ground picking up some unidentifiable things from it.

Whilst I was taking a concentrative heed to this course of action, i lost my attention to a genus of birds that was snorting as it made it’s way up above the sky over where i was standing.

Immediately after they came out of the reach of my sight, I took my eyes back to the hen and as i was just mulling over the phenomenal art exhibited in the nature of these creatures, my imagination brought me to an eye opening and mind enlightening discovery that made me realise how irregardless of whatever ability and potential one may posses, there are certain factors that will emerge to be limitations to their effectiveness.

It was quite stupefying to notice that in as much as chickens are in the same vertebrate group with their flying birds’ counterparts, they are restricted to only get food from the ground yet having some wings that could accord them an opportunity to freely roam around getting food from unlimited sources just like what the flying birds do.

As i got to wonder why their ability and indisputable potential to fly is not in the best interest of their flexibility, I realised that it is the ratio of their body weight  that is not proportionate to their wing size hence making it difficult for them to fly.

After i had linked this discovery to the mankind fraternity, i then came to revelational radiance of how despite our possession of equal body functions that help us implement our contemplations, there are factors that add excessive weight to our intellectual flexibility thus governing and diversifying our effectiveness….

Breadth of Mind (The What If Question)

By: Gift Tarupiwa

BREADTH of MIND (The “WHAT IF” question)

Despite the factual truth about the impossibility for one to come up with a constant formula for sailing through life situational trials, a deep consideration of what I would call the “WHAT IF” question, may give one enough knowledge and insight on how they can always act with wisdom.

As typical of my presentations on the subject of the breadth of mind in the previous series , i have to use a story as my case study.

Genesis 25:29-34

29 Once when Jacob was cooking stew, Esau came in from the field, and he was exhausted.

30 And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!”

31 Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright now.”

32 Esau said, “I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?”

33 Jacob said, “Swear to me now.” So he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob.

34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.

Well the biblical story highlighted by the scriptures above is beyond any shadow of doubt one of the most common and greatly known in the christiandom and even secular circles, yet there’stew enlightening discovery to embrace after following this series of writing.

Esau who was regarded as the elder brother to Jacob, his womb-mate, to have been born first during their mother’s delivery, lost his birthright to his younger brother in a hostile situation that he would’ve managed to deal with wisely if only his breath of mind had allowed him to consider the “WHAT IF” question…

Before he became a victim of desperation in being forced to comply with Jacob’s conditions for giving him the stew, he had prepared at the expense of his birthright; this simple question would’ve given him the strength to ignore his starvation and helped him understand the foolishness of entering into that deal…..”WHAT IF he had returned home to find nothing to eat prepared???, wasn’t he just going to prepare it for himself???

Yes i know and understand the luring and tempting sweet savour injected into the atmosphere whenever a stew has been cooked but in the consideration of the value of what he was going to lose in the quest for pacifying his hunger, that  “WHAT IF” question was still going to open up his eyes to see the best way out of this tragic circumstance.

Hope i have stressed out the significance of the “WHAT IF” question in one’s process of coming up with a lasting solution to whatever problems they might be facing at hand.

BREADTH of MIND (The “WHAT IF” question) – STAY WISE!!!

Dear women, 12 Signs the man you are dating is married

{Some women have no problem dating a married man, but some just do not want. They just want a man to settle with not to play games. Here is the catch my sisters}

  1. He tells you not to call on particular times e.g. evening and weekends. OR when you call during that time he never answers and not available at all.

  2. He is emotionally unavailable. This is because his heart is elsewhere.

  3. You only know him, not his friends, not his relatives and no one else close to him.

  4. He gives you excuses why he cannot take you to his place.

  5. You only meet in hotels, lodgings, bushes, at your place, etc. For sex mostly!

  6. He has no time for you on holidays, special days e.g. valentine, because you are not his number one. He gives you excuses of course!

  7. He takes you to secluded places (where he knows he is not known, and not likely to meet his wife)

  8. In public, he mostly treats you like just a friend or sister, but when alone he is so close! He does not want to be seen.

  9. Most of his dates with you are unplanned. You are just an option not a priority.

  10. He does not wish to discuss more of his personal life with you.

  11. His social media account is discreet. Very private.

  12. You just feel the relationship is not adding up. There are too much questions in your head than answers.

If you are in a relationship with a man who scores over 50% of the above, chances are he is married or has another very serious relationship and not with you!

12 Signs the man you are dating is married.

THE GOD OF PROSPERITY IS THE SAME AS THE GOD OF MAMMON

By: Clement Ntukogu

THE GOD OF PROSPERITY IS THE SAME AS THE GOD OF MAMMON

Almost 98% of the preachers today and their followers are serving the “GOD OF MAMMON” known as the “GOD OF PROSPERITY”. In Matthew 6:24, Christ identified this “God of  Mammon”, He said;

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”.

At his early ministry, Christ met directly with this “God of Mammon”, who presented the following offer to Him: “All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me” – Matthew 4:9.

Unfortunately, today so many preachers and their followers have chosen to serve the “God of Mammon”. All prosperity and breakthrough preachers are servants of this “god of Mammon”. In Matthew 7:16, Christ said, “Ye shall know them by their fruits”. They present to people the same offer presented by their master to Christ, that is, “prosperity and breakthrough” free of charge (Matthew 4:9).

In a sermon, they no longer preach repentance and salvation, they no longer tell people what they need do to have eternal life (Matthew 19:16), rather their messages are centered on “financial breakthrough”, “miracle money” “miracle cars”, “miracle houses” and so on!

These are some of their prophecies to people:-

“In the name of Jesus I decree and declare upon your life an outpouring of financial blessing, no more hardship!”

“Your FINANCIAL is about to increase!!” Somebody should type: “Increase in Jesus name!”

“Within 11 days, God will open your delayed money doors!”

“I prophesy that  your effort will no longer be wasted..! ”

“Be ready for your miracles and testimonies!”

……….If you believe, “like” “Type Amen” and “Share”……

Of course, this is not the gospel that Jesus Christ and His apostles taught the people. These preachers have watered-down the word of God in order to attract great crowd, this is in fulfillment of 2 Timothy 4:3-4 that says,

“For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables”.

Today, the gospel of Christ has been so much abridged that messages from the pulpits no longer convince church members of their sins, rather people from all walks of life therefore flock to the churches in great numbers. They hear what they want to hear, so why should they be sober and fear God?

Are you serving the God of Mammon? Which is the God of prosperity. Why not tell yourself the truth? Let me tell you the truth, 98% of the preachers today are serving this “God of Mammon”, it’s only 2% that are still serving the “God of the Bible”.

Why Did The Sacrificial System Require A Blood Sacrifice?

Bishop William B. Caractor

Why Did The Sacrificial System Require A Blood Sacrifice?

The whole of the Old Testament, every book, points toward the Great Sacrifice that was to come—that of Jesus’ sacrificial giving of His own life on our behalf. Leviticus 17:11 is the Old Testament’s central statement about the significance of blood in the sacrificial system.

God, speaking to Moses, declares: “For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.”

A “sacrifice” is defined as the offering up of something precious for a cause or a reason. Making atonement is satisfying someone or something for an offense committed.

The Leviticus verse can be read more clearly now: God said, “I have given it to you (the creature’s life, which is in its blood) to make atonement for yourselves (covering the offense you have committed against Me).” In other words, those who are covered by the blood sacrifice are set free from the consequences of sin.

Of course, the Israelites did not know of Jesus per se, or how He would die on their behalf and then rise again, but they did believe God would be sending them a Savior.

All of the many, many blood sacrifices seen throughout the Old Testament were foreshadowing the true, once-for-all-time sacrifice to come so that the Israelites would never forget that, without the blood, there is no forgiveness.

Why Did The Sacrificial System Require A Blood Sacrifice? This shedding of blood is a substitutionary act. Therefore, the last clause of Leviticus 17:11 could be read either “the blood ‘makes atonement’ at the cost of the life” (i.e., the animal’s life) or “makes atonement in the place of the life” (i.e., the sinner’s life, with Jesus Christ being the One giving life through His shed blood).

Hebrews 9:11-18 confirms the symbolism of blood as life and applies Leviticus 17:11 to the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ. Verse 12 states clearly that the Old Testament blood sacrifices were temporary and only atoned for sin partially and for a short time, hence the need to repeat the sacrifices yearly.

But when Christ entered the Most Holy Place, He did so to offer His own blood once for all time, making future sacrifices unnecessary. This is what Jesus meant by His dying words on the cross: “It is finished” (John 19:30).

Never again would the blood of bulls and goats cleanse men from their sin. Only by accepting Jesus’ blood, shed on the cross for the remission of sins, can we stand before God covered in the righteousness of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Why Did The Sacrificial System Require A Blood Sacrifice?

Yours in Jesus Christ.
